HW #3

What is the point of total freedom? Wouldn't it make the world worse? -Julie

I think the point of total freedom is to make the people feel that they can do anything that they want and nobody would come in your way no matter what the situation is. But in a way it will make the world worse because people will use that as a advantage to do certain things that could mess up the world and that wouldn't be good for the people. You wouldn't be able to stop them because they have total freedom and that gives them the right to what they are doing.

How will I see the world in ten years? -Jerald

In ten years I think my self and others probably think the world we have all these different technology and robots doing all the work like something similar to "iRobot" the movie but what I think is that things will be the same but we will have more advanced technology and some things will be more advance. There wouldn't be that much change to the world because there are certain things that need to change before we can make big moves like that to make the world any different and really advance. For one the crime rate has to go down a lot and we have to get out of this recession so we are able to make all these fancy robots and be able to make more advance technology.

  1. I liked that you added some things to your vision of the future that didnt require personal reflection, it only contained a simple vision. You made a lot of statements about life in general not just what this can mean to your life which I though was pretty cool. I think that the first point you made up was a common idea, if everyone did what they wanted then the world would be very chaotic. I still think you are only touching on the basics, I would like it if you stuck to one idea and just typed everything you thought about it. I also think it's cool that you and I think the same about a lot of things.

  2. Dear Anias,
I really like how you connected media to this assignment, I hadn't really thought of doing that. I also like how you took the time to respond to students questions and not just the ones on the assignment. I agree with your statement that absolute freedom would be good, but in the end would bring absolute chaos. People would take advantage of that power and begin doing things just because they couldn't get in trouble for it. I too think there will be many more robot in the future. We already have so many advanced ones today who knows we might actually have robots similar to the one sin "I robot" soon :/ I would have liked to see you respond more about your feeling on the article though. Once again nice post cant wait to read another.
